I was asked to help launch a new website called In the Motherhood.  This sounds like such fun!  I am having a hard time thinking how to describe this so here's a video featuring the actress Leah Remini.  She will be doing a comedy "webisode" every week and it's interactive!  Real moms get to help come up with each weeks episode.  WE become the writers.   This is a sponsored post, meaning I get a free prize package for telling you about it.  But the great thing is you too can get a prize package of your own...

Actress Leah Remini knows all about the real-life stresses of modern moms as a busy TV sitcom star who also juggles her role as a wife and a mom to her 3-year-old daughter. Remini's latest venture will literally take her motherhood expertise to a new level as she partners with Suave, Sprint and MindShare Entertainment for In the Motherhood, a first-ever, mom-focused web series, which will appear on MSN from April 17 through June as well as an integration partnership with the Ellen DeGeneres Show .

Beginning in April, moms across the country will have the unique opportunity to write and collaborate with Hollywood screenwriters to create a series of web-based films starring Leah Remini, best known for her comedic role in the “The King of Queens,” which is completing a successful nine-year run this year. Directed by Peter Lauer, whose directorial credits include “Malcolm in the Middle”, “Arrested Development” and “The Chapelle's Show,” each In the Motherhood webisode will profile the ever-hectic yet always humorous lives of three mom girlfriends.

Professional Hollywood screenwriters will develop the characters and story lines for each of the webisodes, but real moms are the real behind-the-scenes stars. Moms will get the chance to tell their real-life stories by logging onto www.inthemotherhood.com, which will prompt them to sound off about universal experiences all moms share such as “your child's worst public meltdown,” “how to put the ‘me' back in mommy” or “your funniest mother-in-law child-rearing advice.”   Participating is easy – moms literally write out their story in paragraph form and with a few mouse clicks, the story is automatically transformed into a traditional Hollywood script. The online mom community will vote and nominate the best entries, which will then be polished and incorporated into the series of webisodes.

You can visit inthemotherhood.com for the webisodes, information, blogs, games, music, and forums to connect with other moms.   The In the Motherhood web community will launch on MSN April 17 and run through June. The first webisode will air on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 11 and subsequent webisodes will air on May 22, May 29, June 5 and June 12.

You can find so many different types of blogs. Anything from blogs about knitting to american soldier blogs. If you don't have a blog yet, you should get more blog information online to get you started.

Makin' headers, cool blogs and a jury duty questionnaire for you....

If you've noticed, I have been changing my header on this blog a lot lately.  I just downloaded Corels Photo Shop Pro free trial and I am having so much fun playing with that thing!!!  It's awesome because on this free trial you can save your work.  I've only got 30 days to play with it so I am spending almost all day on it making all kinds of headers.  So you might see a different header everyday for awhile.  I might just have to spend the $79.99 and buy it when the free trial is over!

I also want to mention a great guy in the blogoshere named Josh.  He's got some really great blogs.  The first one I am going to mention is The Gabbatha Journey.  It's a daily spiritual discussion with a fun twist (this guy's got a great sense of humor!).  The next one he started is a great idea where many blogs all feed into a main blog.  It is called The V.I.P. Lounge.  Go on over there and check it out.  If you want you can have him add you to the V.I.P. list! And lastly is the new blog he started this week called The Vault.  This is a blog with a giant chat box called The Confessional were you can go and post your secrets anonymously.

On to the home front...

Hubby just got a jury questionairre from the US Distric Court.  He might have to go serve jury duty.  He doesn't want to though.  Why is that the people who don't want to serve get summoned and us who would love it never get summoned?!  Have you ever served jury duty?  What kind of trial was it?  Did you like it?  Just wonderin', i'm nosey like that.

This and that...

It's been a quiet spring break so far.  C-man went to my husbands dads house for a few days.  I guess they felt bad about not helping us out getting C-man on Sunday because Monday morning they started calling and leaving messages that they wanted him to come over and stay the night.  I called them back and said we didn't need them to watch him Monday and Tuesday but that I had a dentist appt. Wednesday afteroon (I changed it to a day earlier because the pain is killing me).  Of course they said "we want him today and tomorrow, can't you just take him with you to the dentist Wednesday?".  I told them no problem I would just find a daycare to put him in for the day and no he couldn't come over and stay the night (monday night) because hubby wanted to spend some time with him as he was taking off work early.  They called back and said "please bring him over today and he can stay unitl Wednesday after your dentist apptointment".  So all is well now.  1 favor done.   

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that Wednesday morning hubby is going to see a sleep doctor to get a referral to go to a sleep study.  His snoring and sleep apnea is getting really bad and I am worried about him not to mention I am getting no sleep because of it.  So tomorrow will be a full day in Oklahoma City, his appt. is at 8:30am and my dentist appt. is at 1:30pm.

I put some links in my side bar under Let's Go Shopping, these are from a great online shopping website.  Check them out if you are like me and do a lot of your shopping online.  I hate going to the stores, so online shopping is a great way for me to shop without leaving the house.

It's De-lurk Week!!!

I have not been reading other blogs all week and now tonight I realize that it was National De-Lurking Week in the blogosphere!!  I really wanted to get all those who secretly read my blog to come out and tell me who they are!  So please I know it's a little late in the week but can't you please comment and tell me who you are?  The site meter tells me when you are here and where you are from and how long you stayed and what you looked at on my page but I would really like YOU (and you know who you are!) to say hello!  I promise I don't bite please use this week to de-lurk and reveal yourself if just this one time! 

A funny post somewhere else...

Although most if not all of my readers are very funny Jamie at Lunacy for Beginners gave me the biggest laugh yesterday with his post about geese being pack hunters.  You've got to check this post out especially if geese scare you like they do me.

My review...

Warning!  The following contains shameless boasting:

Althought I was really scared what they might say about my little blog over here, I requested a blog review at Bloggeries.  Follow this link to read my review.  I got a 4/5!  Pretty good.  Apparently the reviewer thinks my header is too big and they don't like the script on it but other than that the reviewer said they loved my blog!  Well the reviewer did say I should talk more about my feelings and not so much about the children.  That is very hard when you sit in a house with adhd boy and love sick T-man.  It's hard to find feelings to talk about other than they're driving me crazy.  I mean my life isn't in an emotional turmoil and the feelings aren't really gushing out.  Now if I would have been writing this blog twenty years ago when I really was an emotional mess, you know before the meds were prescribed for my pms...  Now I only have the basic emotions and feelings and they are artifically regulated.  A little annoyed, slightly weepy, teensy mushy, a few minutes of happy, happy, joy, joy.  That's about the range of it these days.  *big sigh*
