Pretty toes, Evil Dick and dental work...

Just call me twinkle toes.  Last night C-man stayed at his grandparents and hubby and I went out on a date.  I talked the man into going and getting his and hers pedicures and he went for it!!!  He's never done it and I wasn't sure he would. But he did!  Mine looks fab. Mypedi

He doesn't have the pink toes but his feet look 100 percent better.  We then totally blew our diet and went out and had authentic Italian food.  It was great.  After that it was showers, bed and Big Brother.  Man I love that show.  Evil Dick is just soooo evil yet there's something touching about they way he loves his daughter.  His Christian bashing is getting old though.  They cut a lot of it out on regular TV.  He is in rare form on Showtime.

Tomorrow is the first day of school.  Yeah I know the other day I was saying I couldn't wait.  It was a bad day and the boys were being turds.  But yesterday T-man and I went shopping all by ourselves and we had a great time joking around and having lunch together.  I'm going to miss having him around.  We also went to get his schedule changed.  They had put him in AG (Agriculture) and he was freaking out.  We got it changed to art.  Now he's in art first hour and cooking second hour.  Two pretty easy classes first thing in the morning should make life better.

Well I'd better close this for now, I've got to take the boys to the dentist to get their cavities filled.  C-man has never had cavities and I am dreading this appointment.  I wanted his dad there to sit in the room with him but he's got a meeting he can't get out of so it's just me.  I really get squeamish watching them do dental work and he's probably going to freak out when they come at him with a needle.  This SUCKS.

Who doesn't do online shopping these days? Buying things like entertainment centers is something you want to shop around for when you're doing your shopping online. Saving money is good when you shop online especially for those expensive LCD TV's.

Remembering Tom Poston...

Story_vert_poston_ap

If you are at least 30 years old you would know who this lovable character was.

It's so sad to see guys like this die off...

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Tom Poston, the tall, pasty-faced comic who found fame and fortune playing a clueless everyman on such hit television shows as "Newhart" and "Mork and Mindy," has died. He was 85.

Poston, who was married to Suzanne Pleshette of "The Bob Newhart Show," died Monday night at home after a brief illness, a family representative, Tanner Gibson, said Tuesday. The nature of his illness was not disclosed.

The rest of the stoy is here.

That's just wrong...

I am sitting here watching the 1965 movie The Greatest Story Ever Told.  Great movie.  But what's up with this?!  Almost every commercial break is a racy male enhancement commercial.  Someone over at The History channel has a warped sense of humor.  It's love, salvation, HAVE GREAT SEX!, love, salvation, MAKE LOVE LONGER!..... It's completely freaky.

Speaking of freaky, has anyone seen the new South Park episode on what the Easter Bunny has to do with the ressurection of Christ?  That show is like a train wreck.  It is soooo wrong on so many levels but you can't turn away and not watch.  I sit there watching it because I cannot believe those guys go the places they go!  I sit there and laugh while shaking my head thinking "I hope Jesus doesn't come while i'm watching this, he ain't gonna be very happy!" Yeah i'm not the greatest Christian in the world by no means.  But I try and always do the right thing and I try to love my neighbor and do unto others as I would have them do unto me.  Surely I won't get sent to Hell because I laugh at South Park and cuss too much! : )

Ahh another commercial.  Well at least this time it's not male enhancement.  It's Avodart.  "Tell your doctor if YOU have a GOING problem, it might be a GROWING problem."

Tsk, tsk, tsk...

Bloody history...

Axemurder

Let's talk about television shall we?  I have been really enjoying Barbarians week on the History channel.  I just LOVE history.  The History channel has go to be the best channel on television.  My daughter went to see 300 the other night but I got to see the History Channels hour long show on the same topic and I got the real scoop, not Hollywood's twist on it.  I was reading today that Iran is really upset about the movie  portraying their ancestors as blood thirsty savages.  It doesn't make much sense to me because the whole freaking world during ancient times was blood thirsty.  Those Spartans were a bunch of complete crazies, it was a blood lust cult for goodness sakes.  The Romans were as blood thirsty as anyone and the Gauls and the Vikings well they were just as bad.  Look at the Aztecs they did human sacrifices.  You'd be hard pressed to find an ancient civilization that wasn't blood thirsty or war mongers!

Soap opera fever...

What physical things in this world are you addicted to?  Me, it's soap operas.  I love soap operas.  I watch them everyday.  I tape them on the dvr then after they're over I watch them while fast forwarding through the commercials.  My husband even watches one of them with me.  For me it's all the CBS soaps, The Young and The Restless, Bold and the Beautiful, As The World Turns and Guiding Light.  For hubby it's just Guiding Light.  I tape it and we watch it together after he gets home from work.  I have been watching these soaps since I was a little girl.  My mother and her mother watched them.  It's pretty messed up that the only tradition that was passed down is this soap opera addiction.  I didn't pass it on to my daughter, thankfully.  I consumes your life.  Their lives become your focus.  They become your only friends....

Sorry, I gotta go Lauren just shot Sheila!

Scaresquirreljpeg_1Or was it Phyllis?!  Oh my stars, Sheila had plastic surgery to look like Phyllis!!!

Check out the soap opera "Touched By A Squirrel".

Cabin fever and bacon

School is out again today.  C-man has been out of school 7 days now if you count the weekend.  We have watched Fairly Odd Parents and Sponge Bob 4 times a day for 4 days in a row. If I was to guess how many times he has asked to go outside I would guess 24 to 30 times in 4 days.  Yesterday I finally broke down and said yes thinking he would want to come in quickly because of the bitter cold.  Nope he stayed out there at least an hour both times he went out.  Today he has a pretty bad stuffed up nose but that's not stopping him from running circles around the house like a maniac.

The evil Chihuahua Hal has been locked in his animal carrier except to go potty and to eat since last Friday.  I tried to let him out in the house after I took him out to potty thinking he got it out of his system but NO he saved two turds for the living room 10 seconds after letting him in the house.  Back in the box he went.

Hubby went on a business trip yesterday and T-man escaped to a friends house for the night.  So here I am alone with C-man and Hal.  Last night I thought i'd be nice and let C-man stay up an hour past bedtime to watch tv and when I said for him to go to bed he got mad.  I can't win.

"it's mine!!!"

30 minutes has past since I typed that last paragraph.  This diet and cabin fever is taking it's toll.  I just about burst into tears over bacon just now.  C-man is now sitting in his room being punished for sneaking into the kitchen and eating EVERY SINGLE PIECE of bacon I spent an hour cooking.  Bacon is the only thing on this diet with no carbs in it that has a good flavor to it THAT I CAN EAT!!!

Help me, I need a Xanax.

Or a nice clean padded room where I can be alone.

American Idol

I was turning channels and stopped at American Idol.  My husband hates it and I have never seen an episode.  I guess they are doing auditions.  This show is appalling.  I cannot believe they sit there and make fun of people who are so obviously mentally challenged.  Yeah some are just bad singers but most of these people probably don't have an I.Q. of over 60 and Paula, Randy and Simon sit up there all superior acting and laugh in their faces.  It is truly disgusting how they exploit these poor people for ratings.  Is the world we live in actually full of people who enjoy making fun of and laughing at those less fortunate than themselves?!  This show should cause outrage, but instead it is one of the most popular shows on television.   I am flabbergasted.  One other thing I want to add is that from what I understand once they weed through the bad singers (which I don't object to) and finish making fun of the mentally ill and deranged that the show is really good. I just object to the exploitation of those that are so obviously mentally ill.  I know there are those of you that are going to say "if you don't like it turn the channel", well I did and this is just my opinion i'm not going on a crusade to shut the show down. I'm just saying...  Oh yes I forgot, here's someone who agrees with me, Jeff Herz.  Actually I read his post first so you'd have to say I agree with him!

losing weight, politics, christmas and frozen dogs

Oh yeah! It said 149.4 when I stepped on the scale this morning!  You and I both know that after I eat breakfast and lunch and put on my clothes it will be back up to 151 but that morning weight is what counts, right?

I was suppose to watch Glenn Beck's special The Extremists Agenda on CNN last night, I told T.J. I would but I got stuck at Wal-Mart with the boys and hubby while they showed me everything they want for Christmas.  Apparently last night Mr. Beck struck a chord with a lot of viewers some good and some bad.  I tried to read the transcript but I guess you had to be there.  I'm not exactly a political genius, I have a hard time voting.   I try and be objective but I always seem to mostly lean Republican.  Don't shoot me! **ducking and hiding behind the computer screen**

Last night while shopping I realized that Christmas this year isn't going to break me like usual.  The boys don't want electronics!!!  Yeah!!!  They finally got sick of video games!!!  T-man wants an array of long sleeve button up shirts from this great, cheap store called Steve and Barry's.  The boy also wants earrings and a watch.  How odd it is to buy my teenage son earrings.  These are cute. 2327768419 Do you think he'll like them? :)

C-man is only 7 and you can find a lot of great toys for him that don't cost a fortune.

All this talk about Christmas is making me want to move furniture around and dig out the Christmas tree.  Last year I was really sick and didn't even get the tree out.  We had the Christmas bookcase.  All the presents were all around the bookcase and on the shelves.  It was really sad...

We got our first freeze of the season last night.  It was suppose to snow a little but no such luck.  Hopefully we'll get some by Christmas.  I wanted to put the chihuahua out there last night and have him freeze solid so I could kick him into a million little pieces, but Hubby wouldn't let me.  He was apalled at my "vicious remark" concerning his baby.    Hahaha

But then the dog didn't pee on HIS dresser.

Visits, football and nasty campaigns

Worryworriedstressedout_wwwtxt2piccomWe haven't been able to get a hold of the attorney.  C-man does not want to go over there.  His grandmother is calling being a hateful b*tch.  She's saying that she's the one who suggested supervised visits and now she doesn't think Rabid is on drugs.  She says Rabid is taking urinalysis and has passed them.  She was ordered to take a hair follicle and won't take it.  I heard that if you don't do meth for three days you can pass a UA test.  Rabid is fooling her mother into believing she is clean.  I would think that since the supervisor of the visits is refusing to supervise that we don't have to take him.  They are going to show up at C-man's football game Saturday and demand to take him.  It's not going to be pretty.

Junior High football season is over.  No more getting up at 7am to take T-man to practice!!!!  Yeah!!! 30 extra minutes of sleep!!!  Only two more High School games left and they are home games.  I am so glad football season is almost over.  We get almost no nice quiet time at night anymore.  With practices twice a week and games three times a week I was getting really wore out.  Maybe now we can enjoy some dinners at home instead of in the truck on the way to games.  Or those concession dinners of pizza, Frito chili pies and hot dogs.  No wonder I've gained all this extra weight!

Squirrelseatingpizza

I wonder is it just here in Oklahoma or are all these campaigns across America getting really ugly this year?  It has been nothing but mud slinging for weeks now.  I'm so sick of it I could scream.  They are all after each other and are going for the jugular.  I don't know what any of them stand for.  They aren't telling us what they plan to do for us, they are just trashing each other.  I guess I'm going to have to really get online and research each of these candidates to figure out what they are all about.  I know I should be doing it anyway but usually you get a lot of info on the commercials, telling you what they stand for and what they oppose.  Not this time.

Pushy women in real life and movies..

Okay i've moped around enough.  It's time to get on with it and post on this blog again.  Not much has gone on really though.  We paid the attorney his $450 back ten days ago or so and we haven't heard anything and this weekend is her weekend again.  I say don't let him go over there.  Hubby thinks he'll get in trouble for violating the court order.  I think until there is a court order saying that we don't have to he just doesn't want to fight with them about it.  He hates argueing with women.  He'll stand up to any man any day but women intimidate him.  It's great when I want my way but when it's the ex and her mother it DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!!!!!  I can't figure out why he's this way.  His mother is a push over and not domineering at all.  She says when he was a teen he treated her like she was the child and he was the parent.  Now, when a woman stands up to him he just freaks and agrees with everything they say just to stop the arguement.

He's gone today and tonight to Arkansas, yes Wander he's over in your territory!  He's off visiting rigs and going to meetings with drilling companies.  I hate it when he is gone overnight.  The first year we were together he was gone more than he was home.  I've gotten use to him being home!!  I guess i'll stay up and watch some old movies i've taped on the DVR.  Last week I watched Gilda with Rita Hayworth, Mildred Pierce with Joan Crawford and Jezebel with Bette Davis.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE old black and white movies.  That strip scene that wasn't a strip scene in Gilda (Put the blame on Mame) was the greatest!  If you haven't seen these movies you definitely should!!

This post has been all over the place!
