I found this meme on Musings of a Manic Mom.  I thought it was interesting so I thought I would do it too.  Anyone else who wants to just copy and paste it into your post and let me know in the comments so I can come check it out...

What kind of soap is in your bathtub right now? We have 2 bathrooms. The kids use one, we use the other. In the kids bathroom, the soap is Island Spring antibacterial body wash. I use Soft Soap Shea butter body wash and Ivory soap for my face.  My husband uses Axe body wash.

Do you have any watermelon in your refrigerator? Not at the moment, but during watermelon season I usually do.

What would you change about your living room? Maybe new carpet and fresh paint.  I just bought new living room furniture so I don't want that now.  Oh yes, new lamps.

Are the dishes in your dishwasher clean or dirty? Currently my dishwasher is loaded and running on the wash cycle.

What is in your fridge? Leftovers from Thanksgiving that need thrown out.  A package of hamburger meat I just took out of the freezer, some milk and Diet Pepsi.

White or wheat bread? White.  Sunbeam Texas Giant.

What is on top of your refrigerator? Plastic bin with Thanksgiving decorations and a plastic bag with Thanksgiving napkins and paper plates.

What color or design is on your shower curtain? In one bathroom  (mine) is a burgandy and gold fabric shower curtain with a clear plastic one behind it.  In the other bathroom is a beach themed curtain with seagulls and light houses on it.

How many plants are in your home? One.  An Ivy that must desperately want to live because I've had it for 7 years and it hasn't grown at all.  Maybe it might be a little smaller now.  I have a brown thumb.

Is your bed made right now? No i'm bad about now making it very often uless someone is coming over.  My husband has been giving people the tour of the new house a lot lately and I'm always rushing in there to make it before he gets to that room.

Comet or Soft Scrub? Neither.  I use something call The Works.  No scrubbing at all needed for this great stuff!

Is your closet organized? It's a disaster.

Can you describe your flashlight? A foot long and silver and heavy.  Oh and a plastic big blue one.

Do you drink out of glass or plastic most of the time at home? Glass.  Plastic gets on my nerves for some reason.  My husband had a collection of every fast food plastic cup across the country I think.  I threw them all away.  Kinda pissed him off but I really don't care. :)

Do you have iced tea made in a pitcher right now? No. I hate iced tea.  I only like Camomile Tea and mint tea.  Hot.

If you have a garage, is it cluttered? Yes we have a garage and we cannot park in it. Does that answer the question?

Curtains or blinds? Vertical Blinds.  They came with the house.

How many pillows do you sleep with? Four.  Four for him and four for me.  I sleep on two and use one between my knees.  The other one usually ends up on the floor, but I use it when watching tv at night.

Do you sleep with any lights on at night? Hall light.

How often do you vacuum? I hate to vacuum.  I make my teen do it, maybe once a week.

Standard toothbrush or electric? Standard

What color is your toothbrush? It’s white and pink.

Do you have a welcome mat on your front porch? No but now that you mention it I need one.

What is in your oven right now? Nothing.

Is there anything under your bed? Shoes.

Chore you hate doing the most? Cleaning the tub and the shower and the toilets.

What retro items are in your home? Records and record player.

Do you have a separate room that you use as an office? Yep.

How many mirrors are in your home? 4

Do you have any hidden emergency money around your home? No.  just a change jar.

What color are your walls? White.

Do you keep any kind of protection weapons in your home? A gun with no bullets. None.  A lot of good it will be.  I guess I could throw it at them.

What does your home smell like right now? Hamburger.  I just cooked two.

Favorite candle scent? Vanilla.

What kind of pickles (if any) are in your refrigerator right now? Hamburger pickles.

What color is your favorite Bible? Tan and brown.

Ever been on your roof? Nope and I don’t plan to.

Do you own a stereo? Yep.

How many TVs do you have? 3

How many house phones? 2

Do you have a housekeeper? My kids and my husband.

What style do you decorate in? No real style. Just stuff I like and have collected over the years.

Do you like solid colors in furniture or prints? I definitely prefer solids.

Is there a smoke detector in your home? Not yet.  We are going to get some and some carbon monoxide detectors this week.

In case of fire, what are the items in your house which you’d grab if you only could make one quick trip? Kids and husband first.  Photo albums and clothing if I have time.

My favorite childhood year and a news flash...

This is something I saw on another blog today that I thought was neat.

I would have to say that it would be 1980. 

My favorite musical group was: Air Supply (OF COURSE!!).

My favorite songs were: Kenny Loggins "I'm alright" and Air Supply's "Lost in Love".

My favorite movie was: Grease.  I know it came out a year or two before but I loved it and watched it over and over!

My favorite actor: Dirk Benedict.  That man was hot!

My favorite actress: Olivia Newton-John

My best memory:  My 1st boyfriend was Glenn, we use to go to church on Wednesday nights and get there early.  We found a little door that went under the stage where the pulpit was.  We would sneak under there and kiss!

My worst memory:  ?????  I guess I don't want to remember the bad stuff!

My favorite teacher:  Ms. Gragg, my art teacher.  She really made that class fun!

Local news flash...

One of my opponents backed out of the race!  She was one of the ones I was worried about.  Today I am ordering my campaign signs.  The election is in a little over three weeks.  C-man is a little upset that he will have to go to daycare if I get elected.  It will only be for a couple hours after school but you can't blame him.  He's almost nine years old and going to daycare is not a nine year old boys idea of a good time.  Well there's a chance he won't have to go to daycare if my mother in law doesn't get the job she applied for.

Well that's it for today.  I'm off to get a haircut!

What I usually watch.  A crap load of true crime shows.  'Til Death Do Us Part, Psychic Detectives, Anatomy of a Killer, some show about the BTK killer.  My kids think I'm crazy for watching the stuff.

My husband and the kids wrestling, playing catch or doing stuff together and laughing.

Oh wait I also love the sound of a fish on my line splashing water as I reel it in.

Washington State.  And I hope never to return as my ex is living there and that pollutes the whole place.

The people in my life...

I was tagged by Mz Jackson. So here goes:

1 person who has changed the course of your life for the better:
My husband.  He has brought love and spirituality in my life.  He has made me want to be a better person.

2 teachers who have contributed to your learning:
I really didn't have any teachers who made that much of a difference.  Well Mr. Sperry my history teacher in 9th grade made me love history.  Oh and Ms. Elliott in 2nd grade fed us Japanese food and made me to where i'm not afraid to try new things.

2 colleagues who make your job worthwhile:
Since I don't work outside the home I guess I would have to say my two sons who are still at home.  Without them and their messes I would have nothing to do. LOL

4 people who make you feel special:
My four children.  It is a special wonderful job being their mother.

5 people you need in your life & why?
Hubby Squirrel. He makes every day fun.  He makes me feel loved, safe and secure. 

My kids: I need them on so many levels I can't even describe it.  The thought of not having each and everyone of them makes me cry!

My parents: I've not always been close to either one of them but now that they are getting older I am learning to enjoy them more and more.  They are a great source of information about my grandparents that I never really ever got to know before they died.

My siblings: Living so close to each other me and my siblings have started taking each other for granted.  Just doing this meme has made me realize how special each of them is and makes me want to spend more time with them especially my only sister and my younger brother who just graduated college.

Well all in all those four groups of people include nine individuals so I'm stopping there!

Jackson to do a "Ten Things You Don't Know About Me" meme.  The thing is I blab so much about me on this blog that I don't know if there is anything those long time readers wouldn't know.  So for the newbies here's my list and for those who have stuck it out with my through thick and thin over the years you've probably heard it.  Oh and beware.  I am very boring and this post could cause you to suddenly fall asleep...

1. I live in Oklahoma but was raised most of my childhood in sunny San Diego, California.

2. My daughter is my best friend and we talk on the phone several times everyday.

3. I was a teenage bride.  I married for the first time 1 week after my 16th birthday.  I was married to him for over 8 years and had two wonderful children.

4. When my children aren't around I tend to cuss a lot and I really hate that about me. 

5. I am seriously addicted to CBS soap operas and have been for decades.  Young and the Restless, As the World Turns, Bold and the Beautiful and Guiding Light.  They are my friends.  Don't make fun of me :P

6. I eat Schwanns shrimp, broccoli, bow tie pasta with alfredo sauce and a diet Pepsi almost every single weekday for lunch.

7. I ALWAYS have red toe nail polish on but I very rarely paint my fingernails.

8. I stay up until 1 or 2am almost every night therefore I am not a morning person and am usually very grumpy in the mornings.

9. During my early teens I was madly in love with David Cassidy.  Secretly I still am.  Shhhh don't tell anyone!

10. I made a pledge to my self to read the entire Holy Bible this year.  So far I have only managed to read Matthew, Mark, Luke and part of John.  We did a study of the Book of Daniel and Revelation so I've read that too.  Oh yeah I just remembered I read the book of Job years ago.
