• Things have been so quiet around here it's almost scary.  I feel like any moment Rabid Squirrel is going to do some evil doing.  C-man has to go over there at 10 pm Christmas Eve and doesn't come home until the day before school starts in January.  I'm sure she will have him throughly examined for child abuse and molestation, taken to a psychiatrist, a lawyer, DHS and any and all other places she might think help her regain custody.  Poor kid.

• We sold our old house!!  We close around Dec. 15th.  The realtor had this mystery potential buyer and she wouldn't tell us the woman's name.  Then after the woman decided she wanted the house we found out it is one of my husbands ex girlfriends (who he broke up with under very bad terms to say the least) from 12 years ago.  Apparently she's been living just a few streets over for the past two years and my teen age son is friends with her daughter and we didn't know it.

• The city is being audited in two weeks.  I'm about to have a breakdown at work trying to get everything on their list ready before they get there.

• You know you go out to eat way too much when the owner of a restaurant calls you at work and asks if she made you mad because she hasn't seen you in the past couple of weeks.  Yeah, that happened to me today.  I told her things were just a little tight right now with having two house payments.  I said we'll be back to supporting her family next month.  No, I didn't say that.  But it's true.  I bet we spent three hundred and fifty dollars a month in that place easily.  God, I suck.  I really need to cook more often. *Sigh*

This is the top of my cabinet in my dining room.  I found this holiday garland at Walmart for less than 5 dollars and the little turkeys and candles at my local general store (be sure and shop at other stores in your hometown to give your local city government some of that sales tax!)

Veterans Day

YEAH!!!  I got my new couch, love seat and my dining room table today!!!!  I just had to show you guys the table.  I love it! 

I was off work today because of Veterans Day.  Happy Veterans Day to all you Veterans!

I am off work on Friday also because of Oklahoma's Centennial.  This year only, Nov 16 is Statehood Day.  So I had a three day weekend this past weekend, I get a three day weekend next weekend and the following weekend is Thanksgiving so I get a four day weekend.  I love this city job!

Sorry, I didn't tell you about the move and Thanksgiving is going to be boring now...

I've been getting your comments saying you didn't know I was moving.  I could have sworn I told you!  I looked back on my last few posts and sure enough I never mentioned it!  As soon as I get my camera hooked up to the computer I will put some pictures on here.  Really I should wait until I get it looking nice.  right now everything is in boxes and I have all these empty places because I need more furniture.  My husband is about to have a panic attack because all the sudden he realized he's got two house payments and two car payments.  Funny I thought he would have thought of this before now!  I'm sure the other house will sell quickly.  I'm not too worried about it and it's usually me who worrys about these things.

On to other news...

My 21 yr old son Eric has broken up with the stripper.  Reasons unknown.  He doesn't want to talk about it.  He doesn't seem too bummed out about it though.  There goes the Thanksgiving show.  We had a pole installed on the patio and everything... Geesh.

Super hero, no more football, getting older, meeting the new guy and a stripper...

I can't believe it's been almost two weeks since I posted.  Nothing much has happened since that crazy weekend.  City hall is running pretty smoothly thanks to me, Super Squirrel City Hall Super Hero.

I finally got finished balancing 7 months worth of 8 different city fund checking accounts.  There was no city clerk since May hence the huge mess. 

Football season is almost over thank goodness.  No more spending every Saturday looking at that hideous biotch that is my husbands ex. 

My birthday was last week.  I am 41 years young.  Yeah birthdays suck.  But I did get a really nice opal necklace from the hubster.

I finally met my beautiful daughters boyfriend and his kids.  He's a really nice young man and his kids are adorable.

My 21 year old son is dating a stripper.  I think it's just a stage.  You know, there's the terrible two's, those gangly awkward pre teen years, adolesence, then the i'm in love with a stripper years, yadda yadda yadda...  I wonder if he'll bring her to Thanksgiving dinner...

Fireworks, baseball, buttcracks and heat...

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a great 4th of July!

We had a great time eating hamburgers and hot dogs and homemade ice cream (I ate strawberry mmmmm)

We watched a great fireworks show at the football field.

A few of them went of WAY too close to the ground.  But it was the fire dept. in full gear doing the show so they were safe.  Last night we went to watch the Oklahoma City Redhawks play Baseball with our church group.  All I can say is Baseball is kinda boring.  Not at all like Hockey.  I never once had the urge to jump up and yell.

Oh YES!!!!  The air conditioner repair man just got here!!!!  I was wondering, does anyone know if all repairmen attend the "How to properly show butt crack" class?  Because I think this guy taught the class.

UPDATE: They can't fix my air conditioner today!!!!!  The fan blade won't come off the old fan motor!  They've got to take it back to their shop and try and get it off without breaking it.  If they can't they've got to order a new fan blade and it won't be here until Monday afternoon.  I just told Hubby and he said we might go to a hotel for the weekend if it gets any hotter.  We maxed out on rain and cool weather at 20 days a few days ago and now the hot humid heat is starting.

Rain, mosquitoes, fireworks, magnets, and margaritas...

It is 3:32pm and so far it hasn't rained today.  The grass actually dried out enough that I could mow the lawn.  I was attacked by mosquitos.  Thank goodness they really don't like my blood or else I have some sort of immunity to their venom because even if they get all over me I don't get those red itchy spots others get.  If it rains sometime today before midnight it will be the 19th consecutive day of rain.  There are alot of betting pools going on around here on what day the rain will stop.  Not being a gambler I didn't get in on this but I really thought it would rain until tomorrow.  I hope it doesn't rain on the fourth of July because this small town has the best fireworks show i've ever seen, well except for Tinker Air Force Base.  Their show was always really awesome but the crowds were terrible.  Our church has a huge cookout and then we all go out to our little football stadium and lie down on the bleachers with blankets and pillows and watch fireworks for what seems like a couple of hours.  The AG Boosters club serves free homemade ice cream too.  It's great small town fun.

Today was my hubbys and my first day of teaching Sunday School and I had a cheesy great craft project of a refridgerator magnet with the bible verse on it for the kids to make. I'll get a picture next week of mine to show you.  I left mine at the church.  But unfortunately our class rooms are on a lower floor of the church and the classes got flooded.  No major damage because we were expecting it and got everything to higher ground.  So we didn't get to go to our class and we ended up mixing all the classes together and letting them play in the gymnasium instead.  Hopefully everything will be dried out by next Sunday and the kids can do the art project I planned.

Happy Valentines Day

I hope each and everyone of you are having a great Valentines Day!  Last night Hubby took me to my favorite clothing store and I spent almost a hundred dollars on myself and today he took me to lunch and bought me a beautiful spring bouquet with a really pretty vase and white teddy bear.  He is such a wonderful husband.  I even told him he didn't have to get me anything because he treats me like his Valentine everyday.  Well that's enough mushy stuff...

We still haven't heard when the court hearing will be.  I think they are waiting to see if they can get Rabid served.  Our lawyer has been in court all day so we can't get a hold of him.

It is sooooo cooooold outside today!!!  Right now it is 23 degrees.  The wind chill is in the single digits.  They are saying this is the wettest winter on record in Oklahoma.  That part is great we have really needed this moisture as we have been in a drought.  But the cold I can seriously do without!  I am so ready for spring!  A nice WARM spring.
