Super hero, no more football, getting older, meeting the new guy and a stripper...

I can't believe it's been almost two weeks since I posted.  Nothing much has happened since that crazy weekend.  City hall is running pretty smoothly thanks to me, Super Squirrel City Hall Super Hero.

Th_bigsuperI finally got finished balancing 7 months worth of 8 different city fund checking accounts.  There was no city clerk since May hence the huge mess.

Football season is almost over thank goodness.  No more spending every Saturday looking at that hideous biotch that is my husbands ex.

My birthday was last week.  I am 41 years young.  Yeah birthdays suck.  But I did get a really nice opal necklace from the hubster.

I finally met my beautiful daughters boyfriend and his kids.  He's a really nice young man and his kids are adorable.

My 21 year old son is dating a stripper.  I think it's just a stage.  You know, there's the terrible two's, those gangly awkward pre teen years, adolesence, then the i'm in love with a stripper years, yadda yadda yadda...  I wonder if he'll bring her to Thanksgiving dinner...

Well that's all I got...

See ya soon.

New job, Rabid missing in action, and having the cops on your side doesn't hurt...

Hi!  I know i've been missing in action lately.  I started the new job on Wednesday last week.  It's a lot to remember and it will take months to get everything caught up.  This city has been without a city clerk/court clerk/treasurer for 4 months.  The utilities clerk, a twenty something young man has been covering his job and all those others this whole time.  He kept the city afloat but a lot of things have been neglected.  It's a little overwhelming.  The accountant is coming in this week sometime to help me out but it will be a two day crash course, nothing intense.  The DPS guy is coming sometime soon to show me a few things also.  All in all though, I am enjoying it and I think I can handle the job.

About Rabid, the police dept in the town where the assault occured still doesn't have the report ready.  It's really starting to piss me off.  She's being an arrogant ass now thinking she got away with it.  Although the game this past Saturday was in my town and so is the next two.  She didn't show up this week.  Hopefully she won't come to the next two either.

GunBut if she does i'll have my officers keep an eye on her!  After all I do sign their paychecks now! Mwahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just kidding. LOL

But they do like me. :)

And i'm sure they will be more helpful than that OTHER town!

Schedule, kid news, weather report and asking God another favor...

I have been so busy.  I have volunteered myself into a corner!  I literally have every day of the week booked!  And now I'm running for city office!  Am I crazy?  Yes definitely.

This is my week:

Sunday morning: Church and teach Sunday school.

Monday night: Little league football practice and Quarterback Club meeting.

Tuesday night: Man the T-shirt table at the Jr. high school football games.

Wednesday night: Help to supervise 70 kids at church youth program.

Thursday night: Little league football practice.

Friday night: High school football games.

Saturday mornings: Little league football games.

Well it looks like I'll only be that busy during football season then it should slack off and I can relax.

Speaking of football my teenage son actually caught an interception last night at the scrimmage.  This is the first time he's had the ball in his hands in all the years of playing since he is a lineman.  That kid hasn't stopped talking about it or grinning for that matter.

My beautiful smart daughter started college last night!  I'm soooo proud of her! She's going to be a paralegal.  She's been working in an attorneys office for several years now and makes good money but this will really help her career.

And my oldest son is doing really great working with his dad and has gotten several raises recently.  He just moved to the big city a couple of weeks ago and I hardly ever am going to get to see him!  I've probably been driving him crazy calling every couple of days.

C-man, the 8 year old that had so much trouble in school last year is doing great this year in third grade. He hasn't been in trouble at all this year so far.  I know school just started but him going more than a day or two without getting in trouble is amazing.

I haven't mentioned the weather.  Bad.  Very bad.  Remember last year when I was begging you all to pray for rain?  Well y'all prayed too hard.  We have gotten 52 inches of rain so far this year!  The bridge south of town washed out last weekend when we got 10 inches in one night!  My Sunday school class flooded and so did two of my neighbors houses.  And yes folks it is overcast and looks like rain again today.  You guys must all be in good with the Lord for him to listen to you so well so could you tell him that we in Oklahoma really appreciate his getting us out of the drought but could we ask one more tiny favor and have him cut back on the amounts of rain?

Thanks! :)

Ribs, the incredible shrinking stomach and the growing boy...

It was such a long rough weekend!  We had the annual rib roast fund raiser for the little league football teams on Saturday.  We had 6 giant smokers and we cooked 630 slabs of pork ribs.  Oh, did I mention it was a little over 100 degrees on Saturday?!!!  I finally gave out around 10:30pm.  I heard they were at it until 2:00am.  It was a nightmare.  My husband is the vice president of the club and along with the president decided that we will no longer do this fund raiser.  We made almost 5000 dollars but it is just too hard and we don't get enough parents to help.  Not to mention the only time of year we can do it it is as hot as Hell!  I'm surprised my husband didn't have a heart attack or a stroke.  He was one of the ones stoking the fires and loading and unloading the meat into the smokers.  He also cut and delivered all the wood the night before.  We cut down a giant Pecan tree a few weeks ago in our yard and one last year so we had a lot of great wood to smoke meat with.  It was a tense day.  My husband and the woman who is the little league president got into a little argument. I wasn't there but I heard it wasn't pretty.

Anyway.....

My diet is going GREAT I am now down to 147!!!!  I am only eating about 1100 calories a day and no longer feel like I am starving.  Over the weekend I was going to splurge and eat a big meal and I could only eat a 1/3 of it.  I think my stomach is shrinking.  My husband ate too many ribs and gained about three pounds.  After looking at all that raw meat all day I couldn't even eat it.Coopersdisplayribs

School starts in three days!!  I'm taking the boys to get the last of their cavities filled on Wednesday.  Thursday is the first day of school!  Tomorrow I've got to take T-man to the high school because they put him in Ag and home economics II.  He is not a happy camper about it.  He's going into the tenth grade this year.  I can't believe how fast he is growing up.  He's 5'11" now and still growing.  He's going to be a big boy.

Well i've gotta run now and do all the laundry from the weekend. See ya!

The boy is back in town, Little League, nice date and heart surgery...

C-man is back in town!  I've hardly seen him all summer.  When school first got out he went to his mothers for two weeks then when he got back I had him two days before his grandpa picked him up then after that he went to his grandmothers then back to his mothers for two weeks.  We are only going to have him a couple of nights then he's going to go back to his mothers for a couple of days because the rain has finally stopped so he can go swimming.

We have Little League sign ups today so I'll be busy with that.  So far my husband has 13 7 and 8 year old's for his team we were hoping to get a few more.  I hope today is successful.

Oh yeah I got the eyebrows up from my husband on the new lighter blond me.  He took me out for dinner and drinks last night.  We had a good time.  He even put his phone on silent.  I was shocked!  That phone never gets turned off unless he's on the football field or in church.  I have spent many a anniversary dinner listening to his work phone calls.

Tomorrow is my father-in-laws birthday.  He's going to have a cook out.  He's going in for heart surgery on Wednesday.  Something to do with a bad stent from a previous surgery.  Please everyone keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

I hope you all have a great weekend!  See ya Monday!

The Fiesta Bowl Surprise...

Dave left me a comment this morning on the previous post telling me I have to post about last nights Fiesta Bowl so here it goes...

My husband won't agree with this but at the risk of a family feud i'm going to say that I believe that BSU truly deserved that win.  It was awesome!  I love OU don't get me wrong but like the announcers said it was a David and Goliath game.  And David pulled it out and kept on trying never giving up.  I've never seen such heart in a football game.  Those boys never looked like they were excepting defeat in those last minutes even when it really looked like they were going to lose.  They pushed themselves and in over time they won that game like warriors.  Even I, a OU fan was secretly hoping they would win it.  Never did I say a word for fear of being verbally attacked by Hubby and C-man who were both on the edge of thier seats screaming at the television.  That game was a real nail biter.  Not at all what OU fans were expecting.  BSU was amazing.  Congrats!

Here's what Idaho thought about the game.Bsu_2

And here's what Oklahoma thought about the game. Zpekljsfpawbclt_20070102092625_1

Do you like the new digs?

I am decorating the blog for Christmas but I can't decide on a theme.  I like this TODAY.  It might change again but for now I kinda like it.  I like the new header I can change the pic on the right as my mood changes.  Really i've just got a lot of time on my hands as the boys are out going to a state championship football game and I am left here alone.  I could go, but who wants to go sit in the cold and watch kids that are not your own play football?!  NOT me.  I am a little nuts but not THAT nuts.  At least not about football.

If you haven't noticed the weight counter is gone from the top of the blog.  I lost 6 pounds but then I gained back three and I was so sick of looking at it everyday on this blog.  Too depressing.

My sister is driving me crazy wanting this freakin' table cloth made for Christmas.  My mother told her I was crocheting pot holders and she wasn't too happy about it considering she doesn't do any of the cooking, her husbands does it all.  So my mother called me and told me she found a 106" table cloth at Walmart for only eight dollars.  Mom gave me the great idea to just buy iron on applications with a Christmas theme and put them on the corners.  The whole thing would only cost me about 15 dollars tops and would be EXTREMELY easy to do.  A lot easier than spending the next week crocheting my fingers to the bone for an ingrate.

Hope everyone is staying warm!! Warm those paws!

Don't forget about my renter at the top of the sidebar! Evil Pop Tart has some new evil stories of evil deeds!

Wine, football and pumpkin pie...

Oh do I have a headache!  We had dinner at my sister's house today.  She poured me glass after glass of wine.  I think that chick was trying to get me drunk!  I don't hardly EVER drink so this was a rare thing.  I didn't get drunk but I got dizzy and I now have a raging headache.  She was planning on trying to get me tipsy and get me to sing karaoke.  Not going to happen.  I don't care how much wine you give me. Period.  The only thing that she accomplished while trying to get me drunk was getting herself drunk.  She passed out on the couch after dinner and I ended up doing the dishes.

T-man got lucky.  One of his friends was going to the OU/OSU bedlam game and his grandfather had an extra ticket, so T-man was asked if he wanted to go.  When he told Hubby he was going, C-man heard him and got so upset he couldn't go he burst into tears.  Last I heard the tickets were going for 500 dollars.  Hubby took C-man to a high school play-off game a few towns over tonight to soften the blow.  C-man being seven, I think it might have worked.  So here I am, once again all alone in this house.  The football widow.  Ahhh the Aleve are finally working and the headache is going away.  I'm off to eat some pumpkin pie.  I wonder how my sister is doing tonight...

Wait... is she going to fall down?! Yep! She's out for the night!

Two moms

Yesterday I told my husband that although our lawyer told us not to send C-man over to his grandmothers because she wasn't supervising Rabids visits maybe C-man should see his mother.  So my husband called Rabid and her mother and told them if they wanted to see C-man he would meet them at MacDonalds Play Place tonight.  When Hubby called Rabid C-man got on the phone and talked to her for a few minutes.  At the end of the phone call C-man dropped a bomb on all of us.  He said to her "well i've got to go and help my mom decorate the Christmas tree."  When Rabid got upset and told him "She's NOT your mom.  You call her Kelly!!"  C-man started screaming at her that he's got two moms and he can call me mom if he wants to.  Hubby told him not to scream at his mother and to apologize.  He did apologize, but reluctantly.  And he added at the end of his apology that he DID have two moms.  Rabid is now furious and told my husband that she is going to fight even harder to get him back.  We have never told or encouraged C-man to call me mom.  He just started doing it and he is so emotional that I didn't want to tell him not to.  And I don't mind if he does.  My kids call their stepmother mom and it doesn't bother me.  She's been in their life since my oldest was 7 years old.  They love her and I don't care, I want them to love her.  But Rabid is unstable and irrational.  She is taking this as an attack and when she feels attacked things get ugly.  It's really sad how she doesn't even care about what is good for the boy.  She says she is going to take him away from his father.  The man who coaches his football team, who takes him to hockey games and football games.  The man who takes him to church every Sunday.  When she had C-man they never got to see each other.  She wouldn't even answer the phone when my husband called.  She use to tell the boy that his daddy loved me and my son and not him.  C-man missed 32 days between kindergarten and 1st grade because she was too messed up from drugs to get out of bed.  Last night c-man was telling her that he wanted to play for the Bulldogs until he went to college and she just said "yeah right we'll see about that" and got him all upset.  I think that's why he made that comment about me being his mom too.  To get her back.  This is all such a nightmare, and we don't have court until February.

Football banquets, garage sales, drug dealers and GIANT 1970's butterflies...

Not much to post today.  We had the Little League Football banquet today. I went to a garage sale and picked up a beautiful Liz Claiborne sweater, Tommy Hilfiger sweater, a pair of Ralph Lauren jeans and a velvet and gold jacket that at the time seemed like a good idea but now I'm thinking it will go in the rag bag for only 4 dollars.

C-man's mother, Rabid Squirrel has been calling non stop for days nights driving my crazy.  I think she is trying to record herself leaving desperate sounding messages on our voice mail.  She is calling well after knowing C-man is in bed.  She must mistakenly think the judge is actually going to care to hear what she has to say after finding out she STILL has not after 5 months, taken the hair follicle she was ordered to take by June 15.  NOT.  Today she threatened to come over to my house.  Good thing i've got the chief of police who we are friends with living across the street.  She of course never showed up because all her rants on the phone are nothing but her acting like she cares for her ridiculous recordings no one is going to ever listen to.  She doesn't really want to see C-man or talk to him she just wants her child support/drug habit money back.  If she actually wanted to talk to the child she would call when she knows he is awake.

Well i'll give her this, she did show up to his last football game last saturday afternoon.  Although she did bring her drug dealer with her.  Picture courtesy of the Grady County Sheriffs office.J65127 Badges5

I wish I had a picture of what she was wearing that day.  Remember when I told you all about the rose colored glasses and the thigh high moccasins?  Well, this outfit wasn't quite THAT crazy but it was close and she made a spectacle of herself in it when she went running up to C-man in her HUGE poncho flapping her arms up and down like a GIANT butterfly yelling "Go Bulldogs! Go Bulldogs!".  Oh and she had on this GIANT floppy hat that looked a lot like this...1906603471 I don't know who that woman is, I just found her on the WWW.  Honestly Rabid looked a lot like she just beamed back from the past, from a 1970's style wedding.  Showing up with your creepy drug dealer wasn't enough, she had to have on the insane clothes to go along with it.  Can you tell I HATE THIS WOMAN?  I know, I know. Hating is wrong.  I'm going to church in the morning and I'll work on this.  Again.

Geesh, that was a little bit of a crazy rant for someone who didn't have a lot to post about.
