Awards

Friends are great!

FriendthumbWander over at Wanders World passed this award onto me today.  I thought it was a very sweet award with cute little doggies on it too!  Having an oline blogging buddy like her is so great!  She's a really nice lady and you should all go over and tell her hi!

I'd like to pass it along to Titania.  I've been reading her blog probably longer than any of the others and she is a great, positive blogger who I'm sure if we lived closer would be good friends outside of the blogging world.  Go check out her blog Finding Life's Enchantments you'll be glad you did!

I'm Shmoozing now!

The Power of the Schmooze

Schmoozing as defined by Dictonary.com is the ability “to converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection.” When it comes to blogging, schmoozing is your ticket to making new friends, getting yourself noticed and building a reputation. Some bloggers are gifted with the ability to effectively schmooze and others not so much.Schmooze_award2

My dear friend Titania has granted me the Schmooze award. She is sooo sweet to include me in this! I am proud to be called an internet Schmoozer as I have more friends on the internet than in the "real world" because I am not that social outside of church and the Little Leaugue Football circles.

Here are the Schmooze rules:

1. If, and only if, you get the Thinking Blogger Award or The Power of Schmooze Award, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think, or have schmoozed you into submission.

2. Link to this post and Mike so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.

3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ or the 'Power of Shmooze Award' with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn't fit your blog

My pick of five of the best Schmoozers, intentional or not you have successfully Shmoozed me into submission!:

1. Bluepaintred : She is really really funny!  She always says what's on her mind and in her heart.  She doesn't hold back and I love it!

2. Wander: Such a sweet and friendly, helpful lady.  Her blog always brigtens my day.

3. Erin.: Another outspoken matter of fact blogger who lays it all out in the open.  Her blog is full of great posts, she lets you laugh and cry with her.

4.Lone Grey Squirrel: Another awesome Squirrel! :)  This guy has a great blog.  He shares his very interesting well travelled life with you and his love of God is inspiring!

5. Christine: Remember 101 Reasons I Hate My Husband?  She's back!  She lost her template but this new blog is just as interesting as the last one.  John is still around and Christine is telling stories!

Squirrel in the 21st century...

Cell Today is a good day!  First of all it's the weekend!  Second of all, I at the age of 40 got my first cell phone today.  Well I had a cell phone before but it was one of those prepaid phones and after I ran out of minutes I tossed the phone in a drawer and never used it again.  This is a real grown up phone with a 2 year commitment.  A phone relationship of sorts.  I was pushed into it by a VERY aggressive salesman.  My teenage son.  We were going through Walmart today and there was a T-Mobile salesman there.  The kid got me to talk to the guy and after a few minutes kinda pushed the real salesman aside and went to work on me with some serious sales techniques.  Like what if there is a serious emergency and he NEEDS to get ahold of me?!  What if he is in danger and NEEDS to call 911?!  Then the "you should get one too mom because mobile to mobile is free".  So here I am finally living in the 21st century.  I barely know how to use the thing but I've got it in case I need it.

And another reason today is a good day is because I was notified that I am the Top Momma over at Top Momma!!!  Keep me on top by going over there and clicking on my picture!  Thanks!

Where's the red carpet?!

Thinkingbloggerpf8
I have received the Thinking Blogger Award! I have never wanted an award before, but I've got to admit that secretly I did kind of want this one!  I proudly accept this award! I want to thank my friends Titania and Crazed Dreamer over at Finding Life's Enchantments and Crazed Dreamers Thoughts for giving it to me!!  I am now suppose to honor 5 other blogs that make me think. This is not going to be easy because all the blogs on my blogroll make me think!  Before I start I want to say that you all make me think!  A few of you have already gotten this award so I am going to try and give it to the people I don't think have gotten it.

Here it goes.....

Here are the five blogs that make me think and why:

1. Josh at The Gabbatha Journey: His blog is one of the first blogs I started reading.  He always has a compelling and thought provoking post.  This is one who urges all his readers to stretch their minds and search their hearts.

2. Will at Job's Tale This is a wonderful man who has had his share of hardships and heartbreaks but always manages to post the most amazing heartfelt posts that fill you with hope. He has so much wisdom and love to share with others and he graciously and humbly does.

3. Jerry at Lazy Blogger This guy has been to the ends of the earth and takes me on a web vacation every week to the awesome destinations he has traveled.  He takes me out of my mundane small town life, making me feel as though I am a world traveler right along with him.  It's great to learn about a new place each week!

4. Wanda at Wanders World She is a sweet woman!  I want to grow up to be a wonderful grandma just like her!  She has great posts and every Friday she does odd news and a Friday joke.  And she is a wiz with a computer!

5. Okiedoke: This guy has the scoop on all the important stuff going on in my state.  This guy seems to know it all, and he usually has a strong opinion about it!

Should you choose to participate, please make sure to pass this list of rules to the blogs you are tagging. The participation rules are simple:

1. If you get tagged, write a post with links to five blogs that make you think

2. Link to the original post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme

3. Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote.
