losing weight, politics, christmas and frozen dogs
Oh yeah! It said 149.4 when I stepped on the scale this morning! You and I both know that after I eat breakfast and lunch and put on my clothes it will be back up to 151 but that morning weight is what counts, right?
I was suppose to watch Glenn Beck's special The Extremists Agenda on CNN last night, I told T.J. I would but I got stuck at Wal-Mart with the boys and hubby while they showed me everything they want for Christmas. Apparently last night Mr. Beck struck a chord with a lot of viewers some good and some bad. I tried to read the transcript but I guess you had to be there. I'm not exactly a political genius, I have a hard time voting. I try and be objective but I always seem to mostly lean Republican. Don't shoot me! **ducking and hiding behind the computer screen**
Last night while shopping I realized that Christmas this year isn't going to break me like usual. The boys don't want electronics!!! Yeah!!! They finally got sick of video games!!! T-man wants an array of long sleeve button up shirts from this great, cheap store called Steve and Barry's. The boy also wants earrings and a watch. How odd it is to buy my teenage son earrings. These are cute.
Do you think he'll like them? :)
C-man is only 7 and you can find a lot of great toys for him that don't cost a fortune.
All this talk about Christmas is making me want to move furniture around and dig out the Christmas tree. Last year I was really sick and didn't even get the tree out. We had the Christmas bookcase. All the presents were all around the bookcase and on the shelves. It was really sad...
We got our first freeze of the season last night. It was suppose to snow a little but no such luck. Hopefully we'll get some by Christmas. I wanted to put the chihuahua out there last night and have him freeze solid so I could kick him into a million little pieces, but Hubby wouldn't let me. He was apalled at my "vicious remark" concerning his baby.
But then the dog didn't pee on HIS dresser.

Are you new here or have you been reading awhile and never left a comment? Please introduce yourself! Lurking is so lonely, we want to meet you!

All these squirrel pictures...speak to me.
I once was lost, but now I am found.

You go girl!! And yes, it is ALWAYS the morning weight that counts ;)
I feel the need to dig out my Christmas tree myself, and I never want to do it this early, but I'm feeling in the xmas spirit!!

No electronics - I'm jealous!!! So you mean my son might actually outgrow it? Oh and buying earrings for a boy -- been there - done that - just be glad he isn't making the holes really big - we went through that phase - thank goodness we are back to normal earrings now :-)

Good job on the weight loss, keep it up! You're the best loser that I know...(I love word puns)...lol I'm glad to know that you won't have to be waiting in line to get one of the PS3's that are coming out.

Yikes, my youngest is still asking for expensive things. Now he wants a bass guitar.

Bonnie, we bought our teen an electric guitar this last summer. He thinks he's a rock star.

I am a registerd Republican but should be a Democrat. I am far left in my thinking. Very liberal depending on the suject. I too love Glenn Beck even though he's conservative. He doesn'tcome off as being a fundie judgemental Republican. I like that.
I like to view both sides and then make up my own mind not based on labels. My hubby got me hooked on him. :o)

We have two trees and daughter wanted to put one up in her room this year. I told her as long as she kept her room clean she could have it in there. So far its working. The other tree is sitting in the family room, waiting to be put up.
Christmas this year is going to be very slim. Just a few small gifts because we are going on a big family trip two weeks after Christmas. I am glad the kids are old enough to understand that. At least I think they do...lol.
